Staff responds to request for information and referrals regarding health, community and social services.
Job Search Centre
Through funding from HRSDC, the Haldimand Community Support Centre manages and maintains a job search centre for the community. This free service includes assistance with resume writing, access to online job listings, use of a telephone, facsimile and photocopier and a resource library.
Caregiver Wellness Centre
The HCSC is pleased to announce the addition of the Haldimand-Norfolk Alzheimer Society?s Caregiver Wellness Centre to Haldimand County. This exciting initiative will provide individuals in the community with information and resources required to support their role as caregivers and enhance the well-being of their loved one. A highly-skilled team of individuals has been assembled to create a series of support, education and information-sharing opportunities for individuals and families living with progressive disabilities.
REACH (Resource, Education and Counselling Help, Inc.)
The HCSC provides space and administrative support to several counselors from the Haldimand-Norfolk REACH program.
Haldimand-Norfolk Womens Services
As a satellite location, the HCSC provides space and administrative support to this program which delivers counselling, support, advocacy and shelter for women and children whose lives have been affected by abuse.
United Way
The Haldimand Community Support Centre is the satellite office for the United Way of Haldimand-Norfolk in Haldimand County and is a member agency.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Haldimand-Norfolk
The HCSC provides occasional space this local organization which links children aged 6-16 from single-parent families with adult volunteers.
CYPRES
Responding to needs identified in the community regarding at-risk youth, the HCSC sponsored the development of this youth centre in Caledonia. Ongoing activities include supervised socialization, an Internet caf?, youth dances and summer camps for children.
Aaron & Devon Koocher Skate Park & Basketball Court This program provides additional recreational and social opportunities for youth in Caledonia.
